Glenda Stump
Glenda currently serves as the Project Leader for the
Connecting with the Future research team. She is a third year doctoral student in the Psychology in Education program
with a concentration in Learning. Glenda is interested in the study of motivation in the post-secondary student population, and
is specifically interested in the influence of teacher directedness on student motivation and learning strategies. Her interests
also include the study of collaboration as a learning strategy and its influence on students' knowledge building and acheivement.
Glenda's dissertation examines the impact of simulation education on nursing students' self-efficacy for skills needed to care for
critically ill patients.

Wonsik Kim
"You may take a horse to the water but you cannot make him drink."
Won is from Korea. Won's research interest is "how we can encourage students to engage in their learning activities".
Intrinsic motivation is most ideal status. However, it is not easy for student to be intrinsically motivated.
Won's goal is to help students get intrinsically motivated using various strategies which increases students' motivation in classroom.

Wen-Ting Chung
Wen-Ting Chung is a doctoral student in Learning program in the division of Psychology of Education within the College of Education
at Arizona State University. She is primarily interested in the re-learning process teachers experience in the context of educational
reforms and how it impacts teachers' practice in classroom. She is currently studying Taiwanese teachers' instructional strategy change
due to the country's ban on corporal punishment in schools in 2006. One of her work has examined how teachers' attribution about students'
behaviors relate to teachers' strategy preference. Also, she has investigated how teachers' shift in their strategy is associated with
their teacher efficacy and perceived control over students.

Ji-Eun Lee
Ji-Eun Lee is a master’s student in the Learning program and plans to enter a doctoral program in fall 2009. She is interested in studying
how past, present and future possible selves impact students’ self-concept and academic outcomes. She is also interested in investigating
a social psychological aspect of the self and its motivational effects in an academic domain. Broadly, how parenting, peer relationships,
SES, and ethnicity influence the construction of the self and volitional movements toward improving academic outcomes.

Aaron Done
Aaron Done is a senior in the College of Liberal Arts
and Sciences at Arizona State University. He is majoring
in Kinesiology with an emphasis in human physiology and also
majoring in cognitive psychology. Following graduation he intends
to pursue a PhD in exercise physiology. Being an avid endurance runner
has led to his interest in the motivating factors and the physiological
limitations of ultra-endurance athletes.

Cecelia Maez
Cecelia Maez is doing her fourth year at ASU. She is in a multicultural sorority
that is heavily involved with community service and have held several
positions that have helped to build her leadership skills.She is studying Secondary
Education with a focus in History. She plans to teach at an inner city high school
like the one she attended, and she want to stress the importance of higher
education for minority students. She plans to continue her education by
receiving a masters degree, and She hopes thet can be
fortunate enough to continue beyond that as well.

Jyothi S Samayamantula (Alumni)
Jyothi Swaroop graduated from Arizona State University as an Industrial Engineer. He did his Bachelors from
Osmania University, India with Mechanical Engineering Major. He worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Husman
for the NSF project Connecting With the Future during fall 2008. He is an Arizona State University certified statistician.
As an Industrial Engineer he focuses on Six Sigma Quality/Process Control & as a Mechanical Engineer
he focuses on Solid Modeling, Assembly Modeling, Machine Elements, Tool Design, Modern Manufacturing Techniques and
Finite Element Analysis.
